ANTI RABIES VACCINATION
Anti Rabies Vaccination of all the adult healthy dogs sheltered with Kalyani Animal Welfare Foundation is done on 28th September every year. However, the New Admissions and the puppies get these vaccinations when they are medically fit and as per the schedule prescribed by the Veterinarian, throughout the year.
FREE Anti Rabies Vaccination for all the neighbourhood strays and the pets of the economically poor sections in the nearby villages are given throughout the year.
Total Beneficiaries: 200 to 500 dogs every year.
According to the World Health Organization, Animal Birth Control (ABC) is the most humane and practical way of managing stray dog and cat population. India's legal system also approve of this. The surgery allows a male dog to be released back where it was picked up from, in about three days and a female, in a few more days, as long as all goes well.
